Earth Craft Homes

In Atlanta and the metro area, over 4,000 EarthCraft House single family homes and over 1,500 EarthCraft Multifamily dwelling units have been certified, providing a long term pollution prevention impact. Developers working with EarthCraft House to promote environmental policies on a larger scale have created six EarthCraft Communities in the Greater Atlanta region.

The Sustainable Building Task Force works to protect the health, safety and welfare of Atlantans through its work on the Atlanta Sustainable Building Ordinance (ASBO)

Amend Atlanta’s building code so that it responds to advances in building technology to protect the health, safety, and welfare of Atlantans and to safeguard Atlanta’s long term comprehensive competitiveness.

Our Lead Partners make progress

Researched sustainable building ordinances in other cities.
Drawing on a large number of tested sources, drafted a sustainable building ordinance with several compliance options.
Engaged a large group of stakeholders from across the building industry in several public meetings.
Incorporated feedback and language from many stakeholders to create a draft ordinance that is specifically designed and suited to the needs of Atlantans.
